Xiaomi’s New Pad 7 Series Debuts Today; Features 11.2-Inch Displays And Powerful Performance

At a recent event in China, Xiaomi unveiled its latest tablets, the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, along with the much-anticipated Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphones. Aimed at users who want great performance without breaking the bank, these tablets come packed with impressive specs.

The Pad 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, while the Pad 7 Pro features the more advanced Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Both tablets boast an 11.2-inch LCD touchscreen with a sharp 3200×2136 resolution. With a 3:2 aspect ratio, a smooth 144 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 800 nits, they promise an engaging visual experience whether you’re gaming, streaming your favorite shows, or working on important tasks.

Battery life is another highlight, as both models come with a robust 8,850 mAh battery. The Pad 7 charges at up to 45W, while the Pad 7 Pro steps it up with 67W fast charging. This means you can spend less time waiting for a charge and more time enjoying your content or getting work done.

When it comes to cameras, the two models offer different capabilities. The Pad 7 includes a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera, perfect for everyday photography and video calls. On the other hand, the Pad 7 Pro features a stunning 50 MP rear camera and a 32 MP front-facing camera, making it an excellent choice for anyone who loves taking photos or creating content.

Both tablets run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, which is expected to be built on Android 15, though confirmation on the exact version is still pending. This new operating system aims to provide a seamless user experience, enabling smooth multitasking and efficient app management.

Storage options are varied, with both models available in configurations of 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB. The Pro version even offers a 12/512GB option for those needing extra space. Despite the differences in features, both models share the same compact dimensions of 251.22 x 173.42 x 6.18 mm and weigh just 500 grams, making them easy to carry around.

You can choose from sleek colors like black, blue, and green, catering to different style preferences. The Pad 7 starts at a reasonable price of CNY 1,999, which is around Rs 23,400, making it an appealing choice for those who want a high-quality tablet without the flagship price tag.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro strike a great balance between performance, design, and affordability, making them strong contenders in the upper-midrange tablet market.
