Bengaluru Techie Jumps From Oracle To Uber For 60 LPA Job; Here’s How The 24-Year-Old Did It

Bengaluru techie who quit his job at Oracle bagged a Rs 60 LPA gig at ride-hailing company Uber. 24-year-old Chitransh Anand later shared how he prepped for the interview for 7 months. The lad worked for Oracle for two years and decided to switch for better prospects. Going through discussion boards on Levels and Leetcode, Anand found out about the opportunity. In order to prepare for the interview, the enterprising young gun spent seven months of extensive research with sleepless nights. Anand, who will join Uber next month, quipped that there were four rounds of screening, of which two were tricky. He stated some of the questions they threw at him were beyond the scope of his academia, but he still managed to crack the interview.

Originally from Mughalsarai in UP, the lad has been in Bengaluru since his Oracle gig in 2022. The software gig paid him 40 LPA, with a healthy work-life balance. Chitransh remarked that at Oracle he had to report three days at the office, while in Uber it would just be two days. Speaking with media houses, the lad states that he doesn’t really bother about work-life balance at this stage as he wants to make the most of every opportunity. Baaki toh baad mein dekh lenge hai na Chitransh? Filhaal toh he doesn’t have any plans for investing big on cars or houses.

Oh, how he did it? The basics, bro! Raat din ki padhai, and keeping in touch with the company culture in discussions and job boards. He also had a word with his prospect manager at Uber.
