Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Is Kartik Aaryan’s Biggest Opening Weekend Grosser, Singham Again Approaching ₹200 Crore Mark

This year’s Diwali saw two big releases, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again. The Anees Bazmee and Rohit Shetty movie, respectively, has opened to good numbers, as it is expected on Diwali. Let’s take a look at how much money the two movies have been able to collect at the box office over the weekend.

Ajay Devgn’s cop drama has crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark in India within just three days of its release. According to Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs. 35 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs. 121 crore. Despite a gradual drop in daily collections, the film has managed to close in on the Rs. 200 crore mark globally, with Rs 132. crore earning on Friday and Saturday.

Singham Again opened strongly on Friday, bringing in Rs. 43.5 crore in India. However, since its debut, it has seen a steady decline in daily earnings. On Saturday, collections dropped slightly to Rs. 42.5 crore, with Sunday showing a further dip domestically. Occupancy rates throughout Sunday varied, with 27.29 percent for morning shows, 55.85 percent in the afternoon, 69.64 percent in the evening, and 57.43 percent at night.

Singham Again now holds the record for the highest first-weekend earnings in Shetty’s cop universe, collecting Rs. 77.5 crore over its debut weekend. In comparison, Singham Returns brought in Rs. 45.64 crore, Simmba earned Rs. 54.3 crore, and Sooryavanshi achieved Rs. 50.79 crore during their respective first weekends.

Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also joined the ranks of top grossers in Bollywood in 2024. The movie crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark in its opening weekend. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, on Sunday, the horror-comedy earned Rs. 33.5 crores, taking the movie’s total collection to Rs. 106 crores on its opening weekend.

Also, Chennai has had the highest occupancy of 84.25 percent for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, with just 56 shows. With 177 shows, Lucknow had the second-highest occupancy of 79. 75 percent, and Mumbai follows in third place with 77. 75 percent and 826 shows. With the maximum number of shows, that is 1010, the occupancy at Delhi NCR was 63.75 percent, and Hyderabad had the lowest occupancy of 56.50 percent with 207 shows. Until Saturday, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had 4294 shows, on Sunday the film had 4397 shows.
