Apple is expected to start producing large quantities of the iPhone SE 4 in December 2024. This was revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo, a popular analyst at TF International Securities. Kuo has stated that Apple intends to produce around 8.6 million iPhone SE 4 units by the end of 2024 and through the first quarter of 2025.
As per a report by Bloomberg, this aligns with previous estimates for its launch timeframe. This production goal is consistent with earlier reports. Mark Gurman had previously mentioned that Apple is preparing to launch a new SE model, codenamed V59.

Kuo stated, “I believe that Apple is best positioned to succeed in on-device AI, and I am confident about the long-term potential for Apple Intelligence to become a popular paid service. However, significant growth in iPhone shipments will likely require further hardware innovation to accompany this AI development.”
Apple iPhone SE 4 Expected Specifications
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to come with a major redesign, ditching the outdated iPhone 8-style look of its predecessor. It is rumored to adopt a design closer to the iPhone 14, giving Apple’s budget-friendly smartphone series a more contemporary feel.

The affordable iPhone model is likely to come with Face ID. It is also rumoured that it will also come with Apple Intelligence features to improve the overall user experience. In terms of specifications, Apple iPhone SE 4 is likely to come with a 48MP rear camera, a major upgrade from its predecessor. It is also expected to feature a 6.06-inch display with a 60Hz refresh rate.
In terms of performance, iPhone SE 4 is likely to be powered by A18 chipset and offer 6GB and 8GB RAM options, which is another upgrade from the predecessor.
Going by the rumours, this version of iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025, making it the most affordable iPhone in Apple’s lineup outside of flagship models.
