Google Pixel 10 And Pixel 11 Specs Leaked; Report Hints At Major Camera Upgrade

Recent leaks about Google’s upcoming Pixel smartphones have generated a buzz, especially regarding the camera features of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 series. As expected, AI technology is at the forefront of these innovations, promising to enhance the way users capture and share their memories.

Starting with the Pixel 11 Pro, slated for a 2026 release, this model is rumoured to boast a state-of-the-art telephoto camera that offers an impressive 100x zoom for both photos and videos. This powerful zoom is expected to integrate advanced hardware with AI enhancements, resulting in clearer and more detailed images. The Pixel 11 Pro will also feature an updated version of Cinematic Blur, enabling users to shoot videos in 4K at 30 frames per second. A new “video relight” option will allow users to tweak lighting conditions after recording, thanks to the Cinematic Rendering Engine built into the Tensor G6’s image signal processor. This innovation not only improves video quality but also reduces power consumption while recording by around 40%.

The Pixel 11 will introduce Ultra Low Light video capabilities, also known as Night Sight video. Unlike its predecessor, which relied on cloud processing, this new feature will function entirely on-device, providing a quicker and more efficient experience. It’s designed for low light conditions, specifically around 5 to 10 lux, making it easier to capture high-quality footage in dim settings.

Turning to the Pixel 10, expected to launch in 2025, this model will be powered by the Tensor G5 SoC and will introduce several exciting features. One standout addition is “Post-capture Generative AI-based Intuitive Video Editing” for the Photos app, which may also extend to YouTube Shorts. This feature aims to simplify video editing by harnessing AI to boost user creativity.

Another anticipated feature is Speak-to-Tweak, which allows users to edit photos just by describing the changes they want. Google is also working on a feature called Sketch-to-Image, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy AI, which can turn sketches into images, offering even more creative options. Additionally, a mysterious “Magic Mirror” feature is on the way, although details about it remain scarce.

The Tensor G5 chip will finally support 4K video recording at 60 frames per second HDR, a significant upgrade from the previous Tensor G4’s capabilities of 4K at 30fps. This improvement is expected to enhance video quality, keeping pace with the growing demand for high-resolution content.

The Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 series are set to make notable strides in camera technology, using AI to improve functionality and user experience. With features tailored for low light conditions and advanced video editing, Google seems poised to reshape smartphone photography in the near future.
